Road resurfacing, sidewalk repairs, and new lighting planned for key corridors serving Lithonia residents this summer.
The DeKalb County Commission approved a $1.8 million infrastructure package Tuesday targeting roads, sidewalks, and streetlights throughout the Lithonia district. The investment covers several high-traffic corridors identified by residents through the county's community input process last fall.
District Commissioner said the improvements reflect the county's commitment to equity in infrastructure spending. Work is expected to begin in July and wrap up before the end of the fiscal year, with minimal disruption to daily commutes and school routes.
